With less than a month until the Chinese New Year, The Standard's “Countdown to CNY” series will bring you articles on Spring Festival traditions and Chinese zodiac forecasts.
If your Chinese zodiac sign is the Goat – if you were born in 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003 or 2015 – here is what Chinese astrology says about your prospects for the new year:
Those born in the Year of the Goat are set for a mostly positive year. Goats wishing to boost their luck should wear pig-shaped talismans.
Work prospects are favourable, but there are signs of financial loss. Goats should therefore guard against losing items and theft.
It is suggested that male prospects will appear, and that goats are set for a love story of a hot and cold nature. But also signified is one having an aura of being unapproachable, plus inviting jealousy and gossip.
It is warned that goats may face danger related to climbing or boarding vehicles, as well as using the stairs.
