Hong Kong will be bringing expanded squads for its rugby sevens buildup in England and Portugal, which will see SAR players taking part in international competition for the first time in six months.
Forty-three players - 21 men and 22 women - will depart this weekend for the two-month tour which they will use to prepare for several important campaigns this year, including the Asian Games in Hangzhou in September.
The qualifiers for the Sevens World Series in August, the World Cup Sevens in mid-September and the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens in November are the other major events for this year.
Captain Max Woodward will lead the men's squad, along with veterans Salom Yiu Kam-shing, Max Denmark, Liam Herbert and Cado Lee Ka-to - all of whom were part of the gold medal-winning team at the 2018 Asian Games.
Coach Paul John also called up Asiad veterans Mike Coverdale, Hugo Stiles, Alessandro Nardoni and Eric Kwok Pak-nga for the tour.
Joining the expanded squad are Liam Doherty, Harry Laidler, James Sawyer and Bryn Phillips - all of whom are uncapped in sevens. Kane Boucaut, Seb Brien, James Christie, Pierce Mackinlay-West, Mak Kwai-chung, Callum McCullough , Harry Sayers and Russ Webb complete the squad.
Melody Li Nim-yan and Natasha Olson-Thorne lead the women's squad, which also includes Chong Ka-yan and former Hong Kong sprinter Hui Man-ling.
Uncapped Chloe and Micayla Baltazar, Julia Mba Oyana and Cherly So Yee-kei join the squad, which also inlcudes Au Yeung Sin-yi, Jessica Ho Wai-on, Stephanie Chan Chor-ki, Lam Tsz-yan, Poon Hoi-yan, Gabriella Rivers, Chloe Chan, Chan Tsz-ching, Shanna Forrest, Sabay Lynam, Nam Ka-man, Pun Wai-yan, Georgia Rivers and Rosie Wright.
