Naked man wanders into Mong Kok restaurant, sent to hospital

A naked middle-aged man wandered into a beef bowl restaurant chain in Mong Kok on Sunday afternoon, prompting a police response and his subsequent hospitalisation.

Police received a report from passers-by around 5pm that a completely naked man in his 50s was loitering on Argyle Street before walking into the restaurant, behaving erratically and speaking incoherently. At the time, the restaurant had several diners inside, many of whom moved away from the man.

When officers arrived, the man had already put on his lower garments. He had not damaged any property or caused direct disturbance to diners, police said. He was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital for examination, with the case classified as "person found with suspected mental abnormality."

A witness posted on social media that the man had tattoos on his body. Most diners had left, with only two or three remaining customers who appeared unfazed and continued eating calmly.
