Cultural encounters

New displays of around 20 treasures are being showcased at the Hong Kong Palace Museum for the special exhibition on cultural exchanges between China and France.

The Forbidden City and The Palace of Versailles: China-France Cultural Encounters in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries was launched in December last year and will last until May.

Among the new displays is a rare painting ofthe Kangxi Emperor wearing military clothes in his youth.
