An eight-month old baby boy escaped with only minor injuries after being thrown out of his family car together with two domestic helpers when his 52-year-old father allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the road divider on Tolo Highway near Tai Po.

The baby, his mother, surnamed Tian, 32, and a 28-year-old female domestic helper were taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin.
Tian and the baby were conscious while being transported to the hospital. The domestic helper, once unconscious, regained consciousness after rescuers arrived at the scene.
The father, surnamed Ho, and another 27-year-old female domestic helper were taken to Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po for treatment.
Ho was later arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm. The father was still under police detention last night.
The 28-year-old domestic helper sustained injuries to her head, hands and legs. The eight-month-old baby was injured in the head and hands. Both were treated at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin.
The accident happened when Ho, who was driving a seven-seater on Tolo Highway in the direction of Sheung Shui, allegedly lost control of the vehicle near Classical Gardens in Tai Po before crashing into a road divider in the middle of the road.
According to sources at the scene, the baby was believed to be being held in the hands by one of the domestic helpers sitting in the back seat.
Officers investigating the accident were trying to determine whether some passengers had not put on the seatbelt and why the car door opened at the time of the crash.
After the accident, the car's windshield was shattered, the pump handle thrown off, and the airbag popped out. Shoes and blood-stained clothes scattered outside the car at the scene.
The 28-year-old female domestic helper was seen bleeding all over her face when arriving at the hospital, and required a headband to position her head and an oxygen mask.
The baby also wore a neck brace as ambulancemen fixed his body with tools to prevent his injury from worsening.
Meanwhile, in another accident yesterday, two double-decker buses collided on Kwun Tong Road, injuring 10 people.
It was the second bus collision within three days.
The accident occurred around 1.33pm when a Kowloon Motor Bus route 11C double decker, driven by a 49-year-old driver and moving in the direction of Lam Tin, slowed down on the approach to a bus stop.
A route 1A bus following it allegedly failed to stop in time and hit the route 11C bus in the back. Both vehicles were damaged in the collision.
Three people - including a man and two women - on the 11C bus and seven others - including two men and give women - on the 1A bus, sustained minor injuries and were taken to United Christian Hospital for treatment. They are aged 27 to 72.
On Friday midnight, a KMB bus on route 961 collided with a Citybus 969 in Sheung Shui, leaving seven people, leaving two bus drivers and five passengers injured.
All were taken to hospital.
