Happy Valley MTR still a future project

When a shareholder of MTR Corp proposed to build a station for Happy Valley, chairman Rex Auyeung Pak-kuen joked that he agreed with it.

At the annual general meeting yesterday, Auyeung said he lives in Happy Valley and hopes to have an MTR station there. He then transferred the question to the chief executive Jacob Kam Chak-pui.

Kam responded that the company once explored the possibility of building a Happy Valley MTR Station in the past, but the proposal was put aside for later as no agreement was reached among various communities.

He added that MTRC will continue to review the proposal and improve the subway network in the future.

But the shareholder who raised the question seemed dissatisfied with Kam's answer and asked whether he could obtain further feedback before the end of the world.
