Vrooming away with 007's car

A replica of an Aston Martin DB5 used for the stunts in James Bond blockbuster No Time to Die sold for nearly 3 million (HK$25.5 million) at a Christie's auction in London.

Proceeds from that single sale worth 2.92 million, which included imitation machine guns fitted behind the headlights, will be donated to charity along with takings from 24 other lots auctioned at a special sale of items marking 60 years of 007 James Bond. Another 35 lots have been put up in an online auction that runs to Wednesday.

The replica of the BD5 was one of eight models of the Aston Martin designed and manufactured for the 2021 film. But it is the only DB5 stunt car put up for sale by Aston Martin and EON productions.

Other items on sale include cars as well as notable costumes and accessories linked to 007.
