Kris Wu? Just forget it

Companies are hoping that we will forget Kris Wu Yifan ever existed in any relation to them.

Wu, former member of K-pop group EXO and now a solo artist and actor in the mainland, has been facing allegations of rape.

The mainland variety show Happy Camp removed four of its episodes that featured EXO.

One of the episodes didn't even have Wu in it, but that didn't matter.

Outraged fans questioned why Wu wasn't merely pixelated so the episodes could remain online. Others attacked Wu for hindering the group - even though he left in 2014.

Mobile games have also joined in. Honor of Kings, a multiplayer battle arena game by Tencent, announced that it would stop collaborating with the star.

Another game offered players who used Wu's name as their in-game name the chance to change it for free.

Wu is currently in custody in the mainland and under investigation for alleged rape.
