Carina Lau shares home tour and rare stories with Zhang Zetian in Mid-Levels mansion interview

60-year-old actress Carina Lau welcomed entrepreneur Zhang Zetian, also known as Milk Tea Sister, to her billion-dollar Mid-Levels duplex for a cross-interview, revealing the elegant retro Chinese-Western decor and sharing childhood memories plus private anecdotes about husband Tony Leung Chiu-wai.

The couple’s prized property, valued over HK$100 million, features bold red, green, and yellow tones in a luxurious yet classic style. 

Lau recalled living on the 18th floor in 1995 while Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing occupied the 9th; she later rented the unit to William Chang Suk-ping for four years before reclaiming and redesigning it with help from late friend David Tang, who oversaw the full renovation.

Lau discussed her Suzhou childhood, twice joining TVB’s training course, and her bond with mentor Lau Fong-gong. 

She described Tony Leung’s lesser-known side: socially anxious, he writes apology cards to make peace and shows warmth behind his quiet, perfectionist image.
