Themed “Innovating into the Future,” the report stood out among global peers for its creative design and powerful storytelling. It showcases how CityUHK embeds innovation across teaching, research, and administration while marking the university’s 30th anniversary.
Key milestones highlighted include substantial improvements in global rankings, expanded international partnerships, the launch of the CityUHK (Dongguan) campus, and leadership in building regional innovation ecosystems.
In the highly competitive League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) 2023/24 Vision Awards, the report earned the top Platinum Award and ranked among the Top 100 Annual Reports worldwide. The contest drew nearly 1,000 entries from organizations in over 20 countries and diverse industries.
Further accolades came from other leading platforms. The report won Gold in the “Non-Profit Organization (Print A.R.): University” category at the International ARC Awards, widely regarded as the “Academy Awards of Annual Reports.” It also received Gold at the 2025 Galaxy Awards for outstanding visual design in the “Design – Covers: Annual Reports – Graphics/Text” category and another Gold at the 2025 International Annual Report Design Awards (IADA) in the UK.
The report’s cover, inspired by a dynamic digital brain, symbolizes CityUHK’s multidimensional strategic thinking and ambition to push boundaries through innovation.
Last month, CityUHK released its 2024/25 Annual Report, themed “Innovation on the Rise – 30 Years and Beyond.” Featuring an interactive digital eye that transforms into an abstract Earth, the design underscores the University’s global aspirations and commitment to becoming a leading international institution.
