A man was rescued after getting into difficulty while swimming off Quarry Bay Park on Tuesday morning (Dec 23).
Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 8.16am, after the 69-year-old man reportedly went about 10 meters offshore near Lei King Wan and appeared to suffer a cramp, prompting him to call for help.
Passersby alerted authorities, and the man was brought back to shore by police and fire crews. He was conscious and was taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
