Animal rescue continues at Tai Po fire site with 73 animals saved on Sunday

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals rescued 91 animals from the Wang Fuk Court fire site on Sunday, with 73 surviving the operation.

The rescued animals included 11 cats, three dogs, 48 fish, two rodents and nine turtles, while 18 other animals did not survive.

The rescue efforts continued as the five-alarm blaze has claimed 146 human lives with 79 injured and 54 bodies still awaiting identification.
