Mercedes driver arrested after police find etomidate during Mong Kok stop

A male driver has been arrested after police found suspected etomidate during a vehicle inspection in Mong Kok on Monday morning.

Officers spotted the suspicious white Mercedes at the intersection of Shanghai Street and Fife Street around 6am and conducted an intercept.

During the investigation, police discovered a small quantity of the suspected "space oil" drug on the driver. A drug detection dog was called to assist in searching for additional contraband inside the vehicle.

The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
