Police chief and deputies encourage voter participation with lighthearted video

In a bid to promote voter engagement for the upcoming Legislative Council election on December 7, the police chief and three deputy commissioners have released a humorous promotional video. 

In the video, Commissioner of Police Joe Chow Yat-ming, along with Deputy Commissioners Keith Yip Wan-lung (Operations), Johnson Chan Joon-sun (Management), and Kan Kai-yan (National Security), employs lighthearted banter to convey an important message about civic duty. 

Demonstrating a clever use of pun, Chow states, "Hair color doesn't matter -- knowing how to vote is what counts," highlighting that the essence of participation transcends personal appearance or preferences.

With their expressive faces and relaxed demeanor, the officers present a cheerful atmosphere aimed at breaking away from the traditional serious image often associated with law enforcement. The unconventional approach seeks to connect more directly with the public, particularly engaging the younger generation and inspiring them to fulfill their civic responsibilities.

The initiative underscores the importance of voter participation and aims to encourage citizens to take part in the electoral process, reinforcing that every vote matters.
