Smoke and a burning smell from under a Tuen Ma Line train at Tuen Mun station on Tuesday afternoon led to the swift evacuation of around 300 passengers, with firefighters on standby and no injuries reported.

Around 5pm today, smoke and a burning smell emerged from beneath a Tuen Ma Line train waiting to depart Tuen Mun for Wu Kai Sha, prompting MTR staff to swiftly clear about 300 passengers from the carriage while firefighters arrived on standby.
No one was injured, train services continued without interruption, and the cause is under investigation.
