A 49-year-old woman was discovered unconscious in her Shouson Garden home on Monday and was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting a police investigation to determine the cause of her death.
At around 10am today, a 49-year-old woman surnamed Lam was found unconscious in the bedroom of her apartment at Shouson Garden, 6A Shouson Hill Road, in the Southern District.
Her family members discovered her and immediately contacted emergency services for assistance.
Paramedics arrived promptly but confirmed that the woman had already passed away at the scene.
Police have classified the case as a “body discovery” and are arranging for a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death.
This incident comes one week after the heartbreaking double tragedy at the same upscale Shouson Garden residence, where a 34-year-old French woman who was a Hong Kong ID holder took the life of her seven-month-old daughter before ending her own after struggling with postpartum depression.
