Meter room fire in Sai Ying Pun building, residents evacuated

Smoke erupted from a meter room at Yue Sun Mansion, 89–99 Third Street, Sai Ying Pun, on Friday afternoon around 4pm.

Firefighters evacuated residents from the first and second floors and quickly extinguished the blaze. 

No injuries were reported. Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause.
