The anticipated Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival will return on October 23, with extended closing hours until midnight for the first time, bringing global flavours with local flair to one of Asia's most dynamic dining destinations.
The four-day festival, organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board and hosted at the Central Harbourfront Event Space, will feature over 300 booths showcasing a diverse selection of over a thousand top-tier wines and gourmet foods from 31 countries and regions, with a focus of 70 percent on beverages and 30 percent on food.
Top-tier wines and spirits from 31 countries and regions will be showcased. New country pavilions will be introduced, including those from the United States, Italy, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Norway, Austria, Mexico, and Poland.
A brand-new wine and food pairing experience will also be debuted on site. Attendees will be guided by a simple color-coded system to explore five grape varietals, each matched with a complementary dish.
Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) Chairman Pang Yiu-kai stated that the annual flagship event will see the classic return of the Grand Wine Pavilion and Tasting Room, alongside the introduction of the collection of 1855-classified Grand Cru wines.
Globally renowned Michelin-starred chefs will also be preparing gourmet dishes at a designated zone.
Pang added that the authorities aim to demonstrate that the Festival serves as an exceptional platform for promoting fine wines and cuisine, supporting the industry to seize new business opportunities.
Tickets for the public can be purchased on the designated website starting Thursday (Oct 2). General admission is priced at HK$40 for persons aged 12 and above.
A "Grand Wine Tasting Pass" package is available for HK$598, which includes 16 tasting vouchers and a wine glass, while a "Tasting Pass," priced at HK$298 offers eight vouchers and a glass.
Discounts will be offered for tickets purchased via the website before October 22.
