Foreign man found dead in suspected suicide in Tai Kok Tsui

A foreign man was discovered deceased in a suspected suicide at a building in Tai Kok Tsui on Friday afternoon after police received a report of a person hanging from an exterior ledge.

The incident occurred at Fu On Mansion, located on Tung Chau Street, where authorities were alerted at 2.37pm. 

Emergency responders, including firefighters, arrived promptly and deployed a lifting platform to retrieve the man from the first-floor canopy. 

He was found with a coarse rope around his head and neck, and paramedics confirmed his death at the scene. 

Police recovered a Danish identification document from a backpack belonging to the deceased, indicating his foreign nationality. 

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances and reasons behind the man’s decision to take his own life.
