Super Typhoon Ragasa has left at least 56 people injured and has caused widespread damage, including fallen trees and flooding across Hong Kong.
As of 11am today, the Hospital Authority has recorded 56 residents, including 32 males and 24 females, receiving treatment for injuries as Super Typhoon Ragasa storms the city.
The Hurricane Signal No.10 was issued at 2.40am today and remains in force until the observatory decides to downgrade to Storm Signal No. 8 at 1.20pm.
According to the government, the Home Affairs Department has opened 50 temporary shelters across districts, accommodating 791 people as of 10am this morning.
The government’s 1823 Call Centre, Fire Service Department, and Leisure and Cultural Services Department have received 141, 208 and one reports of falling trees respectively.
The Civil Engineering and Development Department received one landslide report, while the Drainage Services Department received 12 reports of flooding.
