A family of three was rescued from the sea off Chai Wan on Tuesday afternoon as a No. 8 typhoon signal remained in force across Hong Kong.

At around 3pm, police received a report from a man saying that people had fallen into the water near 60 Ka Yip Street. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene and pulled a man, a woman, and a young boy from the sea.
The boy and the woman were found unconscious, and paramedics immediately performed resuscitation at the scene before rushing them to Eastern Hospital. The man was conscious when brought ashore.
An investigation is ongoing.
