Over 2,300 jobs at multicultural career fair on July 24-25

Job seekers aiming to launch or advance their careers will find over 2,300 opportunities at a free-admission multicultural job fair at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok on July 24 and 25, with monthly salaries reaching up to HK$22,000.

Supporting diversity in workforce

With around 50 organizations participating, the two-day government-backed “Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair” aims to connect candidates of all backgrounds, particularly those from ethnic minorities.

Roles on offer include system analyst, engineer, accountant, technical manager, human resources officer, guest services officer, aircraft maintenance mechanic trainee, railway technical trainee, barista, spa therapist, lifeguard and equestrian assistant.

Majority of jobs are full-time

Organizers said 93 percent of vacancies are full-time, with monthly salaries from HK$12,000 to HK$22,000. About 90 percent require education at Secondary Seven level or below, and roughly 66 percent suit those without relevant experience.

Interested candidates can preview positions on the Labour Department's Interactive Employment Service portal.

Interpretation services available

The Correctional Services Department, Fire Services Department, police force, and Immigration Department will also set up a booth there. Interpretation services in Hindi, Urdu, and Nepali will be available at the fair.

Applicants can submit resumes on-site and may be selected for immediate interviews. Additional information about employment support services from the Labour Department will be available at the venue.

The fair is organized by the Labour Department and the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong Ethnic Minorities Committee, which will introduce its support services for people from ethnic minorities at the job fair.
