Transport worker remains in custody after stealing 50 Jellycat and Labubu dolls worth $90k

A transport worker has been charged with allegedly stealing around 50 Jellycat and Labubu plush toys, valued at over HK$90,000, from a claw machine.

The 24-year-old defendant, surnamed Wong, appeared at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Court on Thursday (July 3), where he was not required to enter a plea.

Facing three counts of theft, Wong reportedly stole the Jellycat dolls and Labubu dolls with two accomplices, totaling HK$92,200, from the claw machine in Kwai Chung Plaza on June 12.

The case has been adjourned to September 25 for further investigation, during which Wong will be remanded in custody.
