Tsim Sha Tsui has become the epicenter of tourist activity during the mainland China's Labour Day Golden Week holidays. Thousands of tourists flooded the path from Nathan Road to the Avenue of Stars, creating a chaotic scene that overwhelmed the streets and traffic.

The overwhelming crowds have turned Tsim Sha Tsui into a hotspot for online discussion. A netizen on Threads shared photos of the area, where heaps of tourists swarmed the roads near the Space Museum.
The intersection between Nathan Road and the Avenue of Stars, which is close to the Peninsula Hotel, was particularly chaotic. Police had to cordon off sections of the street to manage the chaotic crowds.

Other social media users uploaded videos of the crowded situation at Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station and the Avenue of Stars, shocking viewers online. Comments poured in, with some comparing the scene to Christmas Eve or the aftermath of a fireworks display. One user remarked, “The harborfront is packed beyond belief, it is like a festival gone wild!”
The chaos extended to the Central Star Ferry Pier, where tourists queued in long lines to get to Tsim Sha Tsui. A netizen said she planned to take the Star Ferry from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui with a friend, but gave up after seeing the queue stretch all the way to the nearby footbridge.
