The Department of Health (DH) announced on Tuesday that 14 general out-patient clinics (GOPCs) will provide public holiday services during the Labour Day (May 1) and the Birthday of the Buddha (May 5).

The public can make an appointment either through the telephone appointment system or the “Book GOPC” function of the “HA GO” mobile app, according to the authorities.
The fourteen GOPCs operated on the public holidays from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, including:
Hong Kong Island:
- Aberdeen Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic
- Shau Kei Wan Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic
- Violet Peel General Out-patient Clinic
Kowloon:
- Kwun Tong Community Health Centre
- Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital Family Medicine Clinic
- Robert Black General Out-patient Clinic
- Yau Ma Tei Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic
New Territories:
- Lady Trench General Out-patient Clinic
- Lek Yuen General Out-patient Clinic
- North District Community Health Centre
- Tai Po Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic
- Tseung Kwan O (Po Ning Road) General Out-patient Clinic
- Tuen Mun Clinic
- Yuen Long Jockey Club Health Centre
To accommodate patients with stable conditions, the HA will also continue to implement a special refund arrangement in the Accident & Emergency (A&E) department for those choosing alternative medical institutions.
A refund of A&E fees can be requested directly from duty staff at the registration counter by patients who prefer to seek medical advice at other medical institutions while waiting for doctor consultations at A&Es.
Additionally, "HA Go" members can submit refund applications via the mobile application.
The authorities underlined that the refund arrangement is only applicable to patients who have not yet seen a doctor and must be requested within 24 hours of registration. Eligible applicants will receive their refunds via mailed check, credit card, or e-wallet within approximately one month.
Meanwhile, information of private hospitals, healthcare facilities, family doctors and Chinese medicine clinics that will operate during the Labour Day(May 1)and the Birthday of the Buddha(May 5) across 18 districts has been uploaded online for public reference.
