The complaints involved concerts by Coldplay, Nicholas Tse, and Mayday. In response, ticketing platform Cityline reviewed purchase records and stated that all affected buyers had knowingly selected restricted-view seat categories, with the issued tickets matching their purchase details.
A Cityline spokesman said the platform had explained the findings to customers. Two cases requested detailed transaction records, which were provided after verifying the buyers' identities. The platform will supply further proof of purchase if required.
Responding to how obstructed-view seats are classified and priced, Cityline said such decisions are made by event organizers and partners, with the platform only displaying the provided information. Therefore, it could not comment on individual seating arrangements.
The spokesperson acknowledged public concerns and said Cityline would continue improving its website and system based on customer feedback to enhance the ticket-buying experience.
