Simon Yam praised for kind act after treating strangers to lunch at cash-only restaurant

Renowned actor Simon Yam Tat-wah has received widespread praise from internet users after a heartwarming act of kindness in which he helped someone pay a bill at a restaurant that only accepts cash. 

A netizen took to social media to share his experience meeting Yam at a noodle shop, posting under the title "Simon Yam Treated Me to Lunch." 

The poster recounted that he and a friend visited the restaurant in Sheung Wan and unexpectedly ran into Yam. 

Due to the restaurant's cash-only policy, the poster's friend returned to their office to withdraw cash. However, Yam surprised him by patting him on his shoulder and saying, "I've already paid for you; enjoy the noodles." 

"I couldn't believe it! I was so thrilled that he picked up the tab for me. He's truly a wonderful person," the poster shared. "I was genuinely surprised at how nice he is." 

The two also snapped a photo together outside the restaurant.
