Driver injured after van mounts road divider in Wan Chai

A male driver was injured after his van crashed and mounted onto a road divider in Wan Chai on Sunday morning.

The accident happened at 10.11am when the driver was traveling along Queen's Road East and turned onto Canal Road Flyover, where the vehicle suddenly veered left and he lost control of his car.

The vehicle subsequently mounted the central barrier, damaging a water pipe and road signs.

The driver sustained lower back pain and reported the incident to the police himself. However, he refused to be sent to the hospital after receiving on-site treatment.
 
Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
