Three cats die after careless owner left window open

Three cats tragically fell to their deaths from a residential building in Tai Kok Tsui on Monday (Jan 6) as their owner had accidentally left the window open.

Police received a report around 12.15 pm from a security guard at The Long Beach that three cats were found lying outside Block 8 after a loud noise was heard.

The cats were later confirmed dead.

It is understood that the tragedy occurred when the male owner forgot to close the windows when cleaning the house.

The case has been listed as "discovery of animal carcasses" for further investigation.
