A video posted online on Tuesday captured numerous pedestrians on Cleverly Street picking up debtor notices scattered across the road, each pinned with a HK$10 note.

The incident, which occurred yesterday afternoon (Oct 7), drew considerable attention, with many bystanders stopping to collect the notes and even recording the unusual scene.
One individual collected 83 of these notices and promptly reported the matter to the nearby police station.
After counting, it was confirmed that the total amount attached to the notices was HK$830. The case has since been transferred to the Central Police District for further investigation.
The notices contained not only a HK$10 note but also featured the debtor's photo and personal information, alongside text urging repayment of owed money. The person who filmed the incident noted the amount of people picking up the notes, as well as exclaiming that it was actually money.
The police confirmed that at 4.32 pm yesterday (Oct 7), a 56-year-old man reported to the Central Police Station about the numerous leaflets outside the Wing On Centre in Sheung Wan. These leaflets, which were attached to HK$10 notes, displayed personal information and photos of the debtor, along with messages pressing for debt repayment. The man who reported the incident had collected 83 of these notices, totaling HK$830.
