Sponsored by the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, everyone gets to enjoy free rides on the ferry, whether you’re going to Tsim Sha Tsui from Central or Wan Chai.
Chief Secretary Eric Chan Kwok-ki, who took part in the kick-off ceremony this morning, said that as China plays a more significant role globally, the government is collaborating with various sectors to offer discounts during the National Day holiday to the public.
He said that Hong Kong is now home to over 2,100 mainland-based companies, including 1,400 listed companies; this reflects the strong presence of Chinese-funded enterprises in Hong Kong and indicates that Hong Kong is an essential platform for the development of mainland enterprises.
