Citizens will be able to book recreational facilities for free on August 4 as the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold its annual “Sports For All Day”, with details to be further announced mid-this month.

Most of LCSD’s recreational facilities will be open to the public for free on that Sunday, more than ten sports clubs and private playgrounds in Hong Kong will provide free venues, and a series of free recreation and sports programs will be available to public participation and viewing in designated sports centers across all districts.
Designated gymnasiums in all 18 districts will hold a variety of free recreational and sports activities such as health lectures, fitness pavilions, sports demonstrations, and fun activities suitable for the elderly and people with disabilities between 2 pm to 6 pm.
With the Paris Olympics just around the corner, this year’s SFAD will focus on promoting and deepening the public's understanding of certain Olympic sports to create “an Olympic atmosphere.”
The Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong will set up an SFAD activity booth at the Festival of Sports event, which will be held at the Free Space in Kwun Tong Town Centre from 11 am to 6 pm on August 3 and 4.
Further echoing the Olympic spirit, more than ten sports clubs and private playgrounds in Hong Kong will hold free recreation and sports programs or open up their facilities for free on August 4 for the public to join in and use.
