One Hongkonger dead, two injured after car accident in Guangzhou

A Hongkonger died and two were injured in a car accident in Shaoguan, Guangzhou on Monday afternoon. 

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong said they learned of the accident last night (Dec 25) and had sent staffers there to assist the families of the deceased and injured Hongkongers. 

The office added that all three Hongkongers were passengers onboard the private car carrying a mainland license at the time. 

The office and the Immigration Department said they will maintain close contact with the involved Hongkongers and their family members.
