Two cases of fallen cats in two consecutive days

Police were alerted to Wong Tai Sin and North Point on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, respectively, after two cats were found to have fallen from a high place.

Around 10 p.m. yesterday (Oct 25), police received a report that a cat was found to have fallen from a high place in Tsz Hong Estate Hong Yun House located on Yuk Wah Street in Tsz Wan Shan.

Officers were alerted to the scene and recovered the cat's body.

The police have listed this incident as an animal abuse case.

Separately, at 6 am today, officers received a report stating that a cat was suspected to have fallen from a high place landing on the first-floor platform of Universal Towers located on Kin Wah Street in North Point.

The police arrived at the scene and climbed onto the platform to investigate the incident, along with contacting the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

It is understood that the cat was an approximately two and a half feet long Maine Coon cat, and was declared dead on site.

The case was listed as a discovery of an animal corpse, and the officers are currently investigating that incident along with looking for the cat's owner.
