Suspension of face-to-face classes at schools will extended for two weeks till March 6, while an assessment for admission to secondary schools will be canceled, the Education Bureau announced on Monday.

Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said on January 27 that all social distancing rules will be extended for two more weeks until February 17, while schools will suspend face-to-face classes until February 21.
In an update on Monday, the Education Bureau said in-person classes at kindergartens, primary and secondary schools as well as tutorial schools will be suspended until March 6.
During the suspension period, schools should not arrange any activities for students at the campuses. But they should continue to make classrooms available for students whose parents cannot take care of them at home.
As for secondary form six students, they will be allowed to continue going back school for learning and internal assessments. Schools are reminded to comply with health guidelines provided by the Centre for Health Protection.
The bureau's spokesman said from February 24, all staffers and visitors need to be vaccinated in order to enter campuses. The policy will be implemented during suspension of in-person classes.
The bureau also announced that the Internal Assessments for Secondary School Places Allocation for primary six students in the second term will be canceled. Their allocation will be based on internal assessment conducted in the second term of primary five and first term of primary six.
Earlier, it was announced that oral exams at the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education will be canceled for the third consecutive year due to the pandemic.
