"He finally proposed and she said yes!” Singer Kayee Tam misled netizens

Singer Kayee Tam Ka-yee received congratulatory messages after she posted photos of herself holding a giant rose bouquet with the caption “He finally proposed... and she said yes!” 

But it turns out that it is her brother, not herself, who is getting married. 

Kayee uploaded three photos that were taken in a hotel onto her Instagram. 

Two of them showed the 33-year-old singer in a long evening dress holding a giant rose bouquet. 

"He finally proposed.... .... .... .... .... And she said YES! My brother is getting married!!" the post said.

While some netizens who didn't finish reading the caption thought it is Kayee who is getting married and did not realise it was her brother's proposal. She took a picture with her brother and future sister-in-law. 

Singer Joey Thye Cho-yee joked that Tam should compensate her before offering her congratulations.
