A fire suspected to have been caused by the overheating of an electric switch broke out in a cake shop at Tai Koo Station this morning.

Police were alerted to the fire by station staff at 11.29am, and the fire was put out by the shop's fire sprinkler system before firemen arrived.
An initial investigation indicated that the incident was caused by the overheating of an electric switch in the shop's ceiling.
No injuries were reported and six people managed to get to safety on their own.
