The Kowloon Motor Bus Co Ltd will expand its e-payment system to 60 bus routes, involving around 1,000 buses and covering 10 payment methods starting Sunday.

The expansion also sees 10 e-payment methods will be accepted, allowing more citizens to experience contactless payment.
Twenty one more routes, in which most are routes that pass through Shing Mun Tunnels, will set up the e-payment system.
Including the 39 routes that had set up e-payment system in the beginning of this year, there will be 60 routes that support e-payment, covering routes traveling to Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung, Tai Po, Tsim Sha Tsui and the North District.
The bus company will also be accepting JCB credit card in this expansion, meaning the system will accept 10 payment methods.
The other nine payment methods are Mastercard, Union Pay, VISA, Apply Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, AlipayHK Easy Go, Alipay Transit QR code and UnionPay Transit QR code.
Passengers may also make the payment by using e-wallet on mobile devices and smartwatches, according to KMB.
KMB will show the e-payment system logo on the route display panel and at the front of the involved buses gradually, allowing passengers to choose their payment method and prepare their payment device in advance.
