Fourth death in two weeks over Sinovac jabs

A woman has passed away after receiving the Sinovac Covid vaccine, marking the fourth death under the city’s mass inoculation drive, according to reports.

The woman was said to have received the Sinovac vaccine earlier, and was hospitalized at Kwong Wah Hospital today after feeling ill, her condition deteriorated and was certified dead today.

Hong Kong previously recorded three other deaths, of which all three had received the Sinovac jab.

Those include a 71-year-old man, a 55-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man.

An expert panel had earlier determined the death of the 55-year-old woman and the 63-year-old man were not directly linked to the mainland-produced jabs.
