Former Hong Kong Thai Boxing representative broke his leg in a car accident in Tin Shui Wai on Thursday.

The 33-year-old said he needed surgery and his leg is now supported by a stent. He thanked the healthcare workers but worried that he might need to hang up his boots due to the injury.
The accident happened on Thursday at 10:19pm as the Muay Thai fighter's motorcycle crashed into a taxi near Tin Ho Road. Chan said he followed the green light and the taxi driver who apologized.
"It may completely crush my dream to fight again in the boxing ring," Chan said in Chinese.
Chan won a gold medal in the East Asian Muay Thai Championship for Hong Kong in 2018. He is currently a Thai boxing coach and referee.
