The Children Rights Association of the Society for Community Organization found housing being the most concerning issue of disadvantaged children ten years in a row, in their annual report of the civil children's ombudsman in Hong Kong.
The advocacy group surveyed 3,000 members aged below 18 years on their top ten concerning issues.
The results showed that the children were most alerted about housing, followed by education, medical services and social welfare.
Interviewees also rated the government's past year performance an eight out of 100, 13 marks lower than last year.
The NGO called for universal suffrage for the Chief Executive and Legislative Council elections, holistic poverty alleviation measures and full support for the disadvantaged pupils' study needs to eliminate poverty in the city.
