More than 90 percent of respondents believed that establishing the Hainan Free Trade Port marks a significant step for China in expanding high-standard openness and promoting an open global economy, according to CGTN.
The poll was conducted across CGTN's English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian platforms, surveying 4,190 respondents in total.
As special customs operations across the island are set to begin at the Hainan FTP on December 18, 93 percent of participants consider it an important gateway for China's next phase of opening up.
Besides,with Hainan FTP featuring the nation's shortest negative lists for foreign investment access and cross-border trade in services currently, 88.7 percent of respondents believe it will create favorable conditions for global businesses to enter the Chinese market.
Additionally, 91 percent agreed that the preferential policies related to tariffs, market access, and taxation are continuously enhancing Hainan FTP's attractiveness as an investment destination and a springboard into the Chinese market.
