Howkingtech to rebrand as "MemeStrategy” following 9GAG founder’s acquisition

Howkingtech International (2440) has announced plans to rebrand as MemeStrategy following its acquisition by Ray Chan Chin-ching, the founder of online entertainment platform 9GAG.  

According to a company filing on Tuesday, Chan has assumed the roles of chairman and chief executive, while several key members from 9GAG and its Web3 venture Memeland have joined the board as executive directors, effective immediately.  

Following the change in controlling shareholders, the company plans to pursue strategic expansion into Web3 and artificial intelligence, the filing said.
