Inspur Cloud, a subsidiary of Chinese information technology conglomerate Inspur Group, announced the settlement in Hong Kong’s Cyberport and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the government to jointly promote the development of the city's artificial intelligence ecosystem.

They will work together to build Hong Kong's computing cluster infrastructure, improve cloud computing and large-scale model development, and establish an intelligent training system.
Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Sun Dong said that as a leader in cloud infrastructure and data services, Inspur Cloud could attract related businesses to Hong Kong and support the city’s industrial modernization and digital transformation.
Hong Kong ranked seventh among 67 countries and economies in the 2024 World Digital Competitiveness Ranking released by the International Institute for Management Development, moving up three places from last year. Sun said that the SAR government has been actively attracting strategic tech firms in recent years, with over 100 leading innovation companies setting up or expanding in the city.
The government also plans to rezone Sandy Ridge in the Northern District by the end of the year, allocating it for data centers and expanding the area to 10 hectares to bolster the growth of Hong Kong’s data industry, Sun added.
