Club buys six NZ horses for HK International Sale

Six colts from the New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka 2025 Yearling Sale are bound for Sha Tin after the Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased them for the annual Hong Kong International Sale.

The most successful HKIS graduate of all time is Romantic Warrior, which was bought by owner Peter Lau Pak-fai for HK$4.8 million in 2021 but now has career earnings of nearly HK$180 million, the most in history.

Meanwhile, jockey Derek Leung Ka-chun has appealed the careless riding charge incurred for his ride aboard Markwin in Friday's Hong Kong Classic Mile. Leung will appeal both the charge and his suspension for three race meetings.
