Banking on anti-scam song

Hang Seng Bank launched a series of anti-scam tracks and gained over 3 million views. The bank collaborated with popular singers and bands, including Serruria Leung Ka-yan, ToNick and per se.

With easy-to-understand lyrics, a series of Cantonese songs were adapted to reveal various scams that are trending, including phishing attacks, investment fraud and romance scams.

The first song was from Hong Kong-based group ToNick, called Hacking Through Thick and Thin, Anti-Scam Ver, which talks about avoiding scams related to suspicious links on social media platforms.

The bank also held an anti-fraud music concert at Central Market last week, where the singers performed for the first time.

Diana Ferreira Cesar, the bank's executive director, said the songs aim to arouse public interest and provide information on fraud prevention.
