Pursue sustainability, tenants encouraged

Hongkong Land has launched its Tenant Sustainability Partnership Programme – designed to help its tenants pursue sustainability through environmental and social initiatives.

The program is divided into two key areas that tenants need to achieve.

Environmental initiatives include reusing existing building elements, adopting sustainable materials and energy-efficient appliances and systems and reducing electricity consumption.

Social initiatives include participation in annual tenant satisfaction surveys, in-kind donations, matching gift programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, volunteering programs and ESG events.

Tenants are rewarded according to how many initiatives they undertake.

Rewards include a certificate of achievement, recognition in Hongkong Land marketing collateral, a contribution of up to HK$30,000 in obtaining a BEAM Plus Interior certification or equivalent and an increase in the matching gift program from HK$50,000 to HK$80,000 per year.
