Two injured as school bus and Tesla collide in Yau Ma Tei

A school bus carrying 10 students collided with a private car at the junction of Gascoigne Road and Wylie Road in Yau Ma Tei on Wednesday (Feb 25) at 1.23pm. The school bus then hit a central divider before stopping after the impact.

The driver of the private car and a female passenger were taken to the hospital.

The front of the private car was badly damaged, while the left front of the school bus was also damaged. Police are investigating the cause.

The school bus driver said he had a green light while turning right onto Wylie Road. The private car, travelling east towards Kwun Tong, is said to be running a red light. “The Tesla driver may have misread the traffic light,” the driver said.
