Police found a man unconscious in a room at Pandora Hotel, Buckingham Building, Nathan Road, Yau Ma Tei, yesterday, after his girlfriend called for help.
Officers discovered dangerous drugs and paraphernalia in the room. The man was taken to hospital but later died.
The girlfriend, 52-year-old Wong, who claims to be unemployed, was arrested and charged with one count of trafficking in dangerous drugs and one count of possession of utensils fit and intended for the smoking, inhalation, ingestion or injection of a dangerous drug—specifically two glass pipes and five straws—on the same date and location.
She appeared in Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts this morning.
Prosecutors sought adjournment to May 18 for legal advice from the Department of Justice.
Magistrate Byron Tsang Chung-yiu approved the request and refused bail. Wong is remanded in custody pending further hearing.
