A 59-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly running onto the race track at Sha Tin Racecourse during a race.
The incident occurred at about 4.45pm during the eighth race of the day. Police said the man entered the track near the finishing post and engaged in disorderly behavior before being subdued by several individuals. The race was not affected.
Mounted Police officers on duty at the racecourse arrested the man on suspicion of disorderly conduct in a public place. He remains in custody for investigation, with the case handled by Sha Tin district crime squad.


Police emphasized that citizens must comply with the law and express opinions peacefully and orderly, within the framework of national security, public safety and order, and without infringing on the rights and freedoms of others. They vowed to take decisive enforcement action against any illegal acts to maintain public order and safety.
